Employee Spotlight - Chloe McDonald

Employee Spotlight: Chloe McDonald

This month, we're thrilled to shine the spotlight on one of our invaluable team members, Chloe McDonald!

Chloe is a Senior Consultant at DCR Partners. Within her role, she helps our clients strengthen their operational resilience by developing crisis management simulations, overseeing penetration testing, and advising on security best practices. She also contributes to procurement and security strategy, playing a key role in enhancing organisational security posture.

What is your role at DCR?

As a Senior Consultant at DCR, I help businesses build and embed operational resilience, ensuring they can effectively navigate disruptions and maintain critical operations. My work includes developing crisis management simulations, managing penetration testing, and guiding clients in making informed security decisions.

I also have experience in procurement and have contributed to projects that enhance organisational security posture. My role is dynamic, allowing me to apply my cyber security expertise in ways that create real impact for our clients."

What is your favourite part of working at DCR?

"What I love most about working at DCR is the variety of projects and the amazing clients we get to work with. The constant challenge and exposure to different industries mean there's always something new to learn, which keeps the work exciting and rewarding. DCR really encourages that growth by giving us the space to develop our skills and take on new challenges. A big part of that is the ‘Leading at all Levels’ mindset - it’s not about job titles but about stepping up, building confidence, and continuously learning. That kind of culture makes DCR a place where you can grow, take ownership, and truly make an impact."

What are you most proud of in your career?

"Working closely with Bryan (one of our directors) has been an invaluable experience as we help our clients, particularly in the financial sector, embed operational resilience. With the regulatory deadline of March 31st approaching, we’ve been focused on creating actionable plans that will drive long-term resilience. I’m excited to see how these projects evolve beyond this milestone and look forward to supporting our clients in fully embedding these strategies - ensuring resilience becomes a core part of their business rather than just a surface-level exercise."

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?

I am passionate about aerial hoop, which serves as both a creative outlet and a way to decompress after a busy workday. It’s a great way to stay active while also providing an adrenaline rush - it challenges me physically and mentally in a way that I find incredibly rewarding. Aerial hoop helps build strength, improve flexibility, and enhance body control, all while requiring a level of focus and coordination that makes it a great mental escape."

What's one thing on your bucket list?

I would love to travel the world, and I’m doing my best to make that dream a reality! If I had to choose one specific experience, it would be travelling across Africa to work with different animal conservation charities. I have a deep love for wildlife, and the chance to contribute to efforts that protect endangered species and their habitats would be incredibly fulfilling."

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

Don’t be shy or hold yourself back - have confidence in everything you do, even when you feel unsure. If you want to achieve something, trust that you will find a way to make it happen. I would tell my younger self to approach life the way I approach dancing - fearlessly and with joy. Dance like nobody is watching, and tackle life’s challenges with that same energy and self-belief."
